Bathroom Bliss: Everything You Need to Know

Imagine your new bathroom after a renovation, or even a deep professional cleaning… the marble is gleaming, the fixtures are sparkling, the towels are folded with spa-like precision. It looks amazing.

The joy of a glorious bathroom doesn't end with a remodel and gleaming fixtures. Today I’m going to share organizing tips that will instill bathroom bliss all year long.

Organizing Tip 1: Clear the Countertops

The countertop space is essential for your daily routines, but should never be crowded. Add a pretty toothbrush holder and soap dispenser that matches the decor. Move makeup into acrylic organizers and add perfumes onto a marble or glass tray. Place toiletries (q-tips, cotton, makeup brushes) in glass bottles on shelves or inside a medicine chest. Keeping the counter as clear as possible will maintain a spa-like feel.

Organizing Tip 2: Declutter the Drawers

Cluttered bathroom drawers are frustrating. You are can never find what you want and you inevitably wind up with an overabundance of BLANK (- fill in with any item you have too much of!) because you keep buying more. There are many drawer organizing options that hold makeup tools and toiletries, tucking these items out of sight for a streamlined look.

In shallow drawers, you can lay down your products in drawer organizers or add an angled organizer that displays items for instant identification. Add deep bins or dividers for deeper drawers and stand items up by type. You can also use glass jars to hold brushes and makeup.

Organizing Tip 3: Use Under-Sink Storage

While things like toilet paper are necessary, they are not beautiful. Under sink storage can be extremely useful so don’t forget about it, especially if you have limited space.  Take advantage of under sink vertical space by using stackable drawers or shelves for extra toiletries. Tall bottles can be stored on a turntable, and keep toilet paper inside a decorative basket. Make sure to measure the space around the plumbing before shopping for products.

Organizing Tip 4: Fuse Function and Fashion

Some bathrooms may lack the necessary drawer or cabinet space but there are ways to add functional and efficient storage to a small space. Add a stylish over-the-toilet unit to hold beautifully rolled towels, glass jars, and decorative baskets. If you have clear wall space, add floating shelves. If you are really limited, try adding a chic rolling cart that can be stored in another space when out of use.

You can organize your bathroom strategically! Just be sure to add pretty yet functional items, and find the most efficient storage products for the space you have. Your bathroom can look beautiful and be lived in. If you’re not sure how to do it or need some help, feel free to reach out. I can help create an organized, well-loved space.
