Frequently Asked Questions with Answers You Don't Want to Miss
It is common for people to think that a professional organizer just throws away all of your things and puts food items into canisters. But that is not what we do!
A professional home organizer does more than declutter and organize. Professional organizers are good problem-solvers, and we help you resolve issues in your home organization. We work with you to identify the best uses for your spaces and the steps needed to get there. The ultimate goal of a professional organizer is to decrease your stress, increase your happiness, save you money, and create more time for you to spend doing the things you love.

FAQ #2: What is it like to work with a professional organizer?
Working with a professional organizer is a collaborative process. I work with you to learn your habits and lifestyle in order to develop systems that will work for you and your family.
After an in-home consultation, my process during the project is as follows:
START FRESH - All contents are removed from the space in order to start the project with a clean slate. This allows me to understand the space in terms of scope and size, and gives me an inventory of the products in the space.
SORT - All items are sorted into categories to get an idea of the organizational systems needed.
DECLUTTER - Once the inventory is sorted, the decluttering begins. With each item, we decide if you NEED it, USE it, or LOVE it. If it doesn't meet one of these three criteria, it will likely be donated, recycled or thrown away.
SPACE PLAN - The goal is to accommodate the items you have in your home and plan the space for maximum efficiency and functionality.
The systems created are tailored for each client and should be easy to maintain.
FAQ #3: How long does a project take?
Project length varies from a few hours to several days. Typically, an average pantry cabinet takes about one day (6 hours), while a walk-in pantry takes two. Unpacking after a move is usually 2-4 days, depending on the home’s size. At your free consultation, I will estimate the time required to complete your project.
FAQ #4: Will you come to my home?
You bet! The best part is being in a client’s home and learning about how you use the space so I can create systems that fit the your routines and lifestyle. I want to make my clients’ lives better by helping them make the most of their space, and home organization helps them achieve this.
